- Studium der Luft- und Raumfahrt mind. Master / Diplom-Studiengang oder äquivalent
- Fundierte Kenntnisse im Bereich Antriebssysteme: Detaillierte Kenntnisse der Triebwerkstechnik, Triebwerksleistung, thermodynamischer Kreisläufe, Thermodynamik, Aerodynamik sowie des Triebwerksbetriebsverhaltens und der Triebwerksregelung sind zwingend erforderlich.
- Fortgeschrittene Kenntnisse in höherer Analysis und Statistik sowie im Bereich Zuverlässigkeitstechnik sind erforderlich.
- Fundierte Kenntnisse und Erfahrungen mit allgemeinen Systemen von Luftfahrzeugen, z. B. Umweltkontrollsystemen, Kraftstoffsystemen und Aktuatoren, sind erforderlich.
- Fundierte Kenntnisse im Bereich Informations- und Kommunikationstechnologie sowie Erfahrung mit der Vorbereitung, Durchführung und Auswertung von Prüfstandstests an Komponenten und Subsystemen sind zwingend erforderlich.
- IT: MS-Office mind. detaill. Spezialkenntnisse, fortgeschrittene Programmierkenntnisse in Matlab/Simulink, C++ und Python sind erforderlich

For a project with our well-known international customer Airbus in Manching, we are looking for you as a Propulsion and Aircraft System Health Management Engineer (m/f/d).

TASK
- Development and in-service support of aircraft propulsion systems for various military aircraft programmes:
- Integration of propulsion systems into aircraft, i.e. specification, qualification and certification with respect to requirements, safety and reliability
- Solving thermo- and fluid dynamical as well as mechanical engineering tasks and problems
- Performing system analyses wrt. performance, dynamic behaviour, operation, control, etc. using handbook methods, simulation tools, etc.
- Design, coding and maintenance of computer programs for synthesis and analysis of existing and/or future propulsions systems.
- Definition and implementation of new development processes for future systems and system-of-systems to support the integration of cross-platform diagnostic, prognostic and prescriptive functions:
- Conceiving and implementation of advanced mathematical approaches (including, but not limited to, machine-learning-based) for system identification, failure diagnosis, failure prognosis and advisory generation
- Model-based design for physics-based simulation and condition monitoring of selected A/C General Systems with fault-insertion capabilities
- Definition and evaluation of component tests to support validation and verification of condition monitoring, failure prognosis and prescription concepts
- Continuous monitoring of available technologies and identification of technology gaps
- Managing interfaces to related technical departments and functions (e.g. programme management, procurement, technical publications, technology management)

QUALIFICATIONS
- Degree in aerospace engineering (at least a Master's or diploma degree) or equivalent.
- Sound knowledge of propulsion systems: Detailed knowledge of engine technology, engine performance, thermodynamic cycles, thermodynamics, aerodynamics, engine operating behavior, and engine control is mandatory.
- Advanced knowledge of higher analysis and statistics as well as reliability engineering is required.
- Sound knowledge and experience with general aircraft systems, e.g., environmental control systems, fuel systems, and actuators, is required.
- Sound knowledge of information and communications technology as well as experience in the preparation, execution, and evaluation of test bench tests on components and subsystems is mandatory.
- IT: MS Office (at least detailed specialized knowledge); advanced programming skills in Matlab/Simulink, C++, and Python are required.
- Language skills: German (at least proficient); technical English at a business level.
