Certification & Qualification Engineer Light Twin Helicopters (m/w/d) – AIRBUS

For more than 25 years, HESYS Engineering has connected technical specialists with demanding assignments for customers in aerospace, defence and high-tech. For our customer AIRBUS, we are looking for a suitable candidate.

In this role, you lead certification projects for modifications to existing light twin helicopters and for new helicopter variants. You define certification strategies, coordinate compliance activities and support the approval and flight clearance of test aircraft and prototypes.

Your tasks

• Lead certification projects, including planning, reporting, risk management and all associated project management activities
• Establish the certification basis and requirements baseline for modifications to existing helicopters or new helicopter variants
• Define and coordinate certification strategies and prepare compliance demonstration programmes
• Coordinate compliance programmes with specialist departments, the Chief Engineer and the responsible authorities
• Coordinate all certification activities within the overall project schedule and use the Airbus Helicopters airworthiness network to achieve certification objectives
• Review and validate compliance documents regarding airworthiness requirements, completeness and mutual compatibility
• Harmonize relevant compliance documents with the responsible authorities and approve documents within the privileges of the design organisation
• Act as the contact for authorities, support future certification projects, including proposals, and coordinate flight clearances for test aircraft and prototypes

Your profile

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, aerospace engineering or mechanical engineering
• More than one year of professional experience as a Design Engineer and in aircraft construction
• More than three years of professional experience in development, aerospace, product development and project management
• Experience in the development of helicopters or helicopter systems
• Knowledge and experience in the certification of aircraft and/or aircraft systems
• Experience in project management, particularly in transnational projects, is desirable
• Team-oriented personality with strong communication, intercultural and coordination skills
• Proactive and solution-oriented approach with strong analytical skills, assertiveness and customer and service orientation
• Business-fluent English, basic German and preferably French language skills
