Der Stelleninhaber verantwortet als Softwarearchitekt die Konzeption, Weiterentwicklung und den nachhaltigen Einsatz einer querschnittlichen Softwareplattform in komplexen Embedded- und Echtzeitsystemen.

Ihre Aufgaben

• Konzeption, Entwicklung und Pflege einer übergreifenden Softwareplattform

• Analyse von Anforderungen, Spezifikation und Definition der Softwarearchitektur

• Strategische Weiterentwicklung der Plattform sowie der zugehörigen Entwicklungsprozesse

• Unterstützung und Beratung anderer Entwicklungsteams beim Einsatz der Plattform

• Aktive Softwareentwicklung in C++ sowie ggf. Rust und TypeScript

• Entwicklung unter Linux, QNX und FreeRTOS

• Auswahl, Steuerung und fachliche Begleitung externer Entwicklungspartner

• Agile Planung und Umsetzung der Entwicklung im SCRUM-Umfeld

• Einsatz moderner Technologien und Tools (z. B. C++17/20, Web-Technologien, Rust, Git, Atlassian Tools, CMake, Catch2, SQLite, Buildroot)

Ihr Profil

• Abgeschlossenes Studium (mind. Bachelor) der Informatik oder eine vergleichbare Qualifikation

• Mehr als fünf Jahre Berufserfahrung in der Softwareentwicklung

• Mehrjährige Erfahrung in der Rolle als Softwarearchitekt

• Sehr gute Kenntnisse in moderner C++-Entwicklung (C++17/20) oder Rust

• Erfahrung mit Echtzeit-, Embedded- oder plattformnaher Softwareentwicklung

• Kenntnisse in agilen Entwicklungsmethoden (z. B. SCRUM)

• Erfahrung in der Entwicklung verteilter Systeme (z. B. TCP/IP, UDP, DDS, CANopen) von Vorteil

• Kenntnisse in Buildroot, Docker oder Xilinx-Umgebungen wünschenswert

• Kenntnisse im Bereich IT-Security von Vorteil

• Erfahrung mit XML, JSON, Git, Virtualisierung, CI/CD-Tools (z. B. Bamboo) sowie Xilinx Zynq Ultrascale MPSoC von Vorteil

• Selbstständige, strukturierte Arbeitsweise sowie ausgeprägtes Qualitätsbewusstsein

• Deutsch und Englisch verhandlungssicher

You will take on a key architectural role, shaping a cross-platform software foundation for complex embedded and real-time systems with strong strategic impact.

Your tasks

• Design, development and maintenance of a cross-functional software platform

• Requirements analysis, specification and definition of software architecture

• Strategic evolution of the platform and related development processes

• Technical support of development teams using the platform

• Hands-on development in C++ and optionally Rust and TypeScript

• Development under Linux, QNX and FreeRTOS

• Selection and coordination of external development partners

• Agile planning and execution within a SCRUM environment

• Use of modern technologies and toolchains (C++17/20, web technologies, Rust, Git, CMake, Buildroot, etc.)

Your profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science or a comparable qualification

• More than five years of professional experience in software development

• Several years of experience as a software architect

• Strong expertise in modern C++ (C++17/20) or Rust

• Experience with embedded, real-time or platform-level software systems

• Knowledge of agile development methodologies

• Experience with distributed systems and middleware is an advantage

• Knowledge of Buildroot, Docker, Xilinx or IT security is a plus

• Structured, independent working style with a strong quality mindset

• Fluent German and English
