Buyer Cabin Procurement – Galleys and Catering Equipment (m/w/d) – AIRBUS

For more than 25 years, HESYS Engineering has connected technical specialists with demanding assignments for customers in aerospace, defence and high-tech. For our customer AIRBUS, we are looking for a suitable candidate.

We are looking for a Buyer for cabin procurement in the field of galleys and catering equipment. The focus is on sourcing, tendering, contract negotiation and supplier management throughout the complete contract lifecycle.

Your tasks

• Contribute to sourcing activities and manage tendering and contract negotiations to achieve the best purchasing conditions in accordance with internal and external company requirements
• Monitor contracts with suppliers and company stakeholders during the innovation, development, series-production and support phases
• Ensure the complete application of contractual terms and conditions throughout the contract lifecycle
• Ensure that suppliers deliver the expected performance regarding logistics, support, quality and cost
• Manage day-to-day supplier relationships and ongoing projects to optimize customer value while minimizing total cost of ownership and risks
• Collaborate within multifunctional and multidivisional teams throughout the tendering, contracting and contract-lifecycle phases

Your profile

• Completed Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, business administration or international management
• More than one year of professional experience in procurement
• More than one year of professional experience in supplier management
• More than one year of professional experience in supply chain or logistics
• More than one year of professional experience in contract management
• Experience with AIRBUS is an advantage
• Advanced practical knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
• Initial practical knowledge of SAP and knowledge of Google Workspace
• English at least at negotiation level; German is an advantage
• Ability to quickly understand and analyze technical concepts and functionalities
• Independent, structured and results-oriented working style to achieve objectives on time and coordinate workflows efficiently
• Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with stakeholders at all levels
• Willingness to travel once or twice per year, mainly within Europe but potentially worldwide
