Junior Vibration, Dynamics and Loads Engineer (m/w/d) – AIRBUS

For more than 25 years, HESYS Engineering has connected technical specialists with demanding assignments for customers in aerospace, defence and high-tech. For our customer AIRBUS, we are looking for a suitable candidate.

In this role, you determine aircraft loads and work on dynamics, vibrations and aeroelasticity for civil and military aircraft. You support testing, structural design and product certification.

Your tasks

• Determine external loads acting on the aircraft during trim conditions, manoeuvre flights or flights under challenging conditions, using analytical methods, flight mechanics simulations or measurement data
• Specify, support and evaluate component tests as well as ground and flight test campaigns
• Contribute to optimization of the entire aircraft by providing overall aircraft loads, sensitivity analyses and component assessments for structural design
• Develop leading methods and expertise in loads and aeroelasticity, together with the necessary methods and tools
• Support product certification and the further development of requirements in this field
• Qualify and certify equipment with regard to dynamics and vibrations

Your profile

• Degree in aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering or a comparable field of study, in each case at least at Master’s or Diplom level
• At least basic German and English at negotiation level; knowledge of French is a plus
• Programming or scripting experience with Python
• Good knowledge of the fundamentals of aerodynamics and flight dynamics, and good knowledge of aeroelasticity
• Experience in analyzing test data and good knowledge of finite element calculations using Nastran
• Excellent communication skills, a strong team spirit, openness, curiosity and initiative
• A proactive, solution-oriented approach to challenges and an interest in working across disciplines and internationally
