In this role, you develop and integrate navigation systems for the Eurodrone program. You translate operational requirements into certified, aviation-compliant technical solutions and support the full development cycle from concept and architecture to validation and certification.
Analyzing, evaluating, and coordinating navigation system requirements derived from the operational concept
Translating requirements into technical solutions considering existing aviation equipment and functions
Close collaboration with software and system engineers to implement the developed architecture
Developing innovative integration methods for dual-use sensor concepts in aeronautical navigation
Performing trade-off analyses
Specifying, developing, and testing advanced navigation systems
Implementing and supporting software prototypes for navigation systems
Supporting system integration and verification through functional testing
Understanding electrical diagrams and validating integration within the platform (3Dx)
Applying environmental standards for equipment qualification
Participating in validation and design reviews according to aviation development processes
Supporting certification activities, including interaction with aviation authorities (e.g. EASA)
University degree (Master/Diploma) in mathematics, physics, computer science, or a comparable technical field
Several years of professional experience in engineering, IT/information systems, or aerospace
Experience as an aviation system engineer is an advantage
Strong analytical skills and structured, independent working style
Ability to work effectively in international and multidisciplinary teams
Knowledge of programming languages such as Python, C/C++, MATLAB, or similar
Fluent English; German is a plus
