Microsoft Server Administrator (m/w/d) – AIRBUS

For more than 25 years, HESYS Engineering has connected technical specialists with demanding assignments for customers in aerospace, defence and high-tech. For our customer AIRBUS, we are looking for a suitable candidate.

In this role, you will operate and further develop Microsoft-based server infrastructures in a demanding enterprise environment. You will ensure system availability, manage software deployments and support ITIL-based operational processes, including incident resolution, backup management and disaster recovery.

Your tasks

• Provide new software packages, system upgrades and updates while maintaining the infrastructure in operational condition
• Monitor system performance and service quality against agreed Operational and Service Level Agreements
• Perform ITIL-based incident, problem, change, configuration and event-management processes
• Analyse console messages and system failures, implement corrective actions and coordinate escalations with technical teams and vendors
• Supervise system backups, lead disaster-recovery tests and support reliable recovery procedures
• Identify and implement technologies and processes that improve system availability, efficiency and operational reliability

Your profile

• Vocational qualification as an IT specialist, IT systems management professional or a comparable qualification, alternatively a degree in computer science
• Professional experience in IT operations, information systems or the administration of Microsoft server environments
• Strong practical experience with Microsoft Windows systems and knowledge of PowerShell
• Experience with Active Directory, DHCP, document-management systems and related infrastructure services
• Practical experience in ticket processing, structured troubleshooting and ITIL-oriented support processes
• Strong communication skills, a high level of initiative and willingness to provide support according to operational requirements; a Microsoft Windows administration certification is advantageous
