Systems Engineer Flight Management & Guidance (m/w/d) – AIRBUS

HESYS Engineering has been a specialized partner for engineering services for more than 25 years. We support customers in aerospace & high-tech with qualified specialists for demanding projects. For our customer AIRBUS, we are looking for a suitable candidate.

In this role, you support the design and development of Flight Management Systems and Flight Guidance functions for military and civil aircraft. The focus is on requirements analysis, RPAS integration, subcontractor coordination and verification and validation activities.

Your tasks

• Analyze requirements for military and civil Flight Management Systems and Flight Guidance
• Design and develop FMS and automation functions for RPAS integration into general airspace
• Design and develop Flight Guidance functions for aircraft and unmanned systems
• Coordinate and manage subcontractors within the systems engineering scope
• Specify and manage verification and validation activities
• Support laboratory, ground and flight test activities for FMS-related functions

Your profile

• Completed degree in aerospace engineering or a comparable qualification
• Experience in systems engineering and Flight Management Systems or similar functions
• Knowledge of design and simulation tools such as Matlab/Simulink or SCADE
• Experience with Flight Crew Alerting Systems is an advantage
• Experience with UAV or RPAS applications is a plus
• Business-fluent English; German knowledge is nice to have
