Stress Engineer Structural Repair Manual (m/w/d) – AIRBUS

For more than 25 years, HESYS Engineering has connected technical specialists with demanding assignments for customers in aerospace, defence and high-tech. For our customer AIRBUS, we are looking for a suitable candidate.

In this role, you perform structural analyses for allowable damage limits and repairs of high lift structures. You support Structural Repair Manual input data, technical justification reports and coordination with SRM skill teams.

Your tasks

• Perform structural analyses for allowable damage limits and repairs of high lift structures
• Use FEM for linear and non-linear assessments with Nastran
• Post-process analysis results with HyperView and document them in justification reports
• Provide input data to design teams for Structural Repair Manual preparation and publication
• Coordinate input data delivery with internal teams, risk-sharing partners and subcontractors
• Support SRM availability, method improvements and quality of technical deliverables

Your profile

• Completed bachelor’s degree or higher in aerospace, mechanical engineering, civil engineering or general engineering
• More than 4 years of experience as stress engineer and more than 2 years in aircraft construction
• Required experience in finite element modelling and structural justification methods
• Detailed specialist knowledge of Nastran plus knowledge of Python and Google Workspace
• Knowledge of metallic and composite structures; HyperView and AI knowledge are an advantage
• Business-fluent English skills; German skills are an advantage
