Structural Dynamics, Acoustics and Vibration Engineer (m/w/d) – AIRBUS

For more than 25 years, HESYS Engineering has connected technical specialists with demanding assignments for customers in aerospace, defence and high-tech. For our customer AIRBUS, we are looking for a suitable candidate.

We are looking for an engineer specializing in structural dynamics, acoustics and vibration. The role focuses on testing, aircraft system qualification, numerical modelling and the development of noise and vibration control solutions for current and future aircraft.

Your tasks

• Define, perform and evaluate acoustic and vibration tests in flight, on the ground and in laboratory environments
• Support the qualification of aircraft systems for mechanical environments, including vibration, shock and acoustics
• Define mechanical requirements for the installation of systems on aircraft and evaluate experimental evidence obtained from qualification tests
• Develop passive and active noise and vibration control solutions for existing and future aircraft
• Develop and validate numerical models for noise generation, propagation and transmission as well as the structural dynamic response to acoustic and vibratory loads
• Develop and support competitive, innovative, mature and safe air vehicles that fulfil regulatory requirements, customer expectations and business challenges relating to noise and vibration

Your profile

• Master’s or Diplom degree in aerospace engineering or acoustics and vibration
• Professional experience in aerospace engineering or a similar field is mandatory
• Experience in acoustics and vibration is required
• Experience in structural dynamic testing and in data acquisition, data handling, data processing and data analysis is required
• Knowledge of the definition of vibration environments and vibration qualification processes is mandatory
• Knowledge of modal testing and modal analysis should be available
• Detailed specialist knowledge of MS Office, basic knowledge of Linux and required experience with MATLAB
• Business-fluent English; knowledge of German would be a plus
• Experience with MIL-STD-810 would be an advantage
• Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team, a problem-solving attitude and the ability to work autonomously
• Availability to travel for one week approximately once per quarter
