Gesucht wird ein Softwareentwickler für Simulationslösungen zur intelligenten Vernetzung von Kamerasystemen, Radaren und weiterer Sensorik. Der Schwerpunkt liegt auf der Entwicklung und Optimierung von C++-Modulen innerhalb der Unreal Engine sowie auf der Automatisierung und Bereitstellung der Software.

Ihre Aufgaben

• Entwicklung und Erweiterung von C++-Modulen innerhalb der Unreal Engine sowie angrenzender Simulationssoftware
• Umsetzung und Integration von Schnittstellenemulatoren und Tools zur Unterstützung der Simulationslösungen
• Performance-Analyse, Profiling und Optimierung bestehender Softwarekomponenten
• Mitwirkung bei der Automatisierung von Buildprozessen, Testing und Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment auf Windows- und Linux-Plattformen
• Zusammenarbeit in einem interdisziplinären Team zur Weiterentwicklung innovativer Simulationslösungen
• Dokumentation der entwickelten Software und Unterstützung bei der Einhaltung der Entwicklungsprozesse
• Unterstützung bei der Containerisierung und Bereitstellung von Softwarekomponenten in virtualisierten Umgebungen

Ihr Profil

• Abgeschlossenes Bachelorstudium in Softwareentwicklung oder Informatik beziehungsweise eine vergleichbare Qualifikation auf mindestens Bachelor-Niveau
• Berufserfahrung in der Entwicklung von Blueprints und mit der Unreal Engine, idealerweise einschließlich Multiplayer-Programmierung
• Sehr gute Programmierkenntnisse in mindestens C++17 sowie in der Entwicklung von Multithreading-Anwendungen
• Kenntnisse in der Performance-Optimierung, im Profiling und im Debugging von Unreal-Engine-Anwendungen
• Sicherer Umgang mit Buildsystemen, CI/CD-Pipelines, automatisiertem Testing und Containerisierung, z. B. mit Docker, unter Windows und Linux
• Erfahrung mit agilen Entwicklungsmethoden
• Erfahrung mit ffmpeg oder vergleichbaren Multimedia-Frameworks ist von Vorteil
• Deutsch und Englisch jeweils mindestens verhandlungssicher
• Teamorientierung, ausgeprägte soziale Kompetenz und Begeisterungsfähigkeit
• Analytisches Denkvermögen, Bereitschaft zur Eigenverantwortung und gute Problemlösungsfähigkeiten

We are looking for a Software Developer for simulation solutions involving the intelligent connection of camera systems, radar systems and other sensors. The focus is on developing and optimizing C++ modules within Unreal Engine as well as automating and deploying the software.

Your tasks

• Develop and extend C++ modules within Unreal Engine and related simulation software
• Implement and integrate interface emulators and tools to support the simulation solutions
• Perform performance analysis, profiling and optimization of existing software components
• Contribute to the automation of build processes, testing and continuous integration/continuous deployment on Windows and Linux platforms
• Collaborate within an interdisciplinary team to further develop innovative simulation solutions
• Document the developed software and support compliance with development processes
• Support the containerization and deployment of software components in virtualized environments

Your profile

• Completed Bachelor’s degree in software development or computer science, or a comparable qualification at least at Bachelor’s level
• Professional experience in Blueprint development and Unreal Engine, ideally including multiplayer programming
• Very good programming knowledge of at least C++17 and multithreaded applications
• Knowledge of performance optimization, profiling and debugging of Unreal Engine applications
• Confident use of build systems, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing and containerization, e.g. Docker, on Windows and Linux
• Experience with agile development methods
• Experience with ffmpeg or comparable multimedia frameworks is an advantage
• German and English both at least at negotiation level
• Team-oriented approach, strong social skills and enthusiasm
• Analytical thinking, willingness to assume responsibility and good problem-solving skills
