Embedded Software Engineer Flight Control Systems (m/w/d) – AIRBUS

For more than 25 years, HESYS Engineering has connected technical specialists with demanding assignments for customers in aerospace, defence and high-tech. For our customer AIRBUS, we are looking for a suitable candidate.

In this role, you develop safety-critical real-time embedded software for flight control computer systems. You work in an agile engineering environment and contribute to software architecture, implementation, requirements management and verification for flight control and flight management applications.

Your tasks

• Design, implement and test safety-critical real-time embedded software in an agile team
• Develop embedded applications and low-level platform software for flight control computers
• Create and document software architecture, software design and technical reviews
• Analyse stakeholder needs and upper-level requirements and derive actionable software requirements
• Manage requirements allocation, change requests, impact analysis and implementation verification
• Support software increment planning and contribute to design definition and continuous improvement

Your profile

• Master’s degree or diploma in computer science, embedded systems or a comparable technical field
• More than 4 years of professional experience in IT, information systems or embedded software development
• Mandatory experience with model-based system design, including data flow and state machine diagrams
• Very good knowledge of C and Ada as must-have technologies for the role
• Experience with ARINC 653 based HRTOS and IMA standards such as ED-124 or DO-297 is desirable
• Business-fluent English skills; German knowledge is desirable
