Structural Design Engineer Composite Structures (m/w/d) – AIRBUS

HESYS has 25 years of experience in staffing demanding technical positions. Our focus is on projects in the aerospace and high-tech environment. For our customer AIRBUS, we are looking for a suitable candidate.

In this role, you will work as a Structural Design Engineer for composite and hybrid aircraft structures. The focus is on the design, validation and optimization of structural components and assemblies with regard to weight, cost, performance and production requirements.

Your tasks

• Develop structural design solutions for composite and hybrid aircraft structures
• Design and validate components and assemblies in line with technical requirements
• Optimize structural designs regarding weight, cost, performance and manufacturability
• Consider production, assembly and integration requirements during the design process
• Use suitable design tools to support product safety and technical compliance
• Work in a changing, multicultural engineering environment with internal interfaces

Your profile

• Degree in engineering, aerospace engineering or a comparable technical field
• More than three years of experience as Design Engineer or in structural design
• Solid experience with military aircraft structures is required
• Necessary experience with CAD tools such as CATIA V5, DDMS 3D Experience or VPM
• Detailed specialist knowledge of MS Office and structured engineering documentation
• Business fluent English; German skills are an advantage
