System Engineer Flight Systems (m/w/d) – AIRBUS

You will work on the design and development of flight management and guidance functions for manned and unmanned aircraft systems. The role combines system engineering, simulation and the development of advanced flight functions in an international environment.

Your tasks
• Design and develop flight management functions for civil and military aircraft systems
• Support the development of flight guidance functions and trajectory generation
• Implement system functions in simulation environments for analysis and validation
• Contribute to technical solutions for manned and remotely piloted aircraft systems
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in development and system integration
• Support the advancement of modern flight system concepts in complex projects

Your profile
• Degree in aerospace engineering or a comparable field
• Experience in design and development within aerospace or flight systems
• Good programming skills in Python or C++
• Experience with UAVs or RPAS in a technical development environment
• Knowledge of simulation-based development, ideally with IsaacSim or ROS2
• Business fluent English skills, German is an advantage
