3D Harness Designer High-Voltage EWIS (m/w/d) – AIRBUS

For more than 25 years, HESYS Engineering has connected technical specialists with demanding assignments for customers in aerospace, defence and high-tech. For our customer AIRBUS, we are looking for a suitable candidate.

In this position, you will develop design principles and support the physical integration of high-voltage Electrical Wiring Interconnection Systems for civil and military applications. You will work independently within an international team that applies agile and Scrum methods in a dynamic environment.

Your tasks

• Adapt current design rules, e.g. AIPI/AIPS from previous A/C or H/C and international rules, to establish new design principles for high-voltage EWIS installation
• Support the EWIS installation team in defining the physical interface allocation
• Review the content of IDD/IP interface documents provided by system designers
• Support all equipment SDRs in reviewing internal physical EWIS and ESN/MBN installation and the first article inspection of CiA equipment
• Prepare reports covering all findings and non-compliance with requirements and track the associated actions
• Validate and verify EWIS requirements cascaded to work packages within DOORS and review the corresponding EWIS requirements
• Conduct weekly meetings with different suppliers, including reporting, progress tracking and the identification of risks and opportunities

Your profile

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or engineering, or completed vocational training with further qualification as a technician and relevant professional experience
• More than two years of professional experience as a design engineer and more than two years of professional experience in engineering
• Knowledge of detailed functions in CATIA V5
• English skills at least at negotiation level; knowledge of German/French and/or Spanish is advantageous
• Structured working style, a high level of responsibility, international competence and the ability to work independently in dynamic and demanding environments
• Ability to contribute to an international and diverse team working according to agile and Scrum methods
• Willingness to undertake monthly business trips lasting two to three days to Marignane, France
