Human Factors Engineer Human-Machine Interface Design (m/w/d) – AIRBUS

For more than 25 years, HESYS Engineering has connected technical specialists with demanding assignments for customers in aerospace, defence and high-tech. For our customer AIRBUS, we are looking for a suitable candidate.

We are looking for a Human Factors Engineer to develop human-machine interfaces for complex systems throughout the product and service lifecycle. The role combines systems engineering, human-machine interaction, user interface and interaction design, user experience and software ergonomics while contributing to system safety demonstration and certification.

Your tasks

• Develop human-machine interfaces for complex systems using suitable technologies, user interface principles and design and validation methodologies such as prototyping
• Perform the pre-design, design, development, validation and verification of complex human-machine interfaces
• Support certification in accordance with civil and military regulations
• Apply human factors engineering-specific tools and procedures
• Assume responsibility for work packages
• Contribute to and perform human factors engineering-specific work packages

Your profile

• Master’s or Diplom degree in psychology, aerospace engineering or engineering, or a master’s degree in human factors engineering
• More than three years of professional experience in engineering
• More than three years of professional experience in aerospace
• In-depth experience in human factors engineering is mandatory
• Detailed specialist knowledge of MS Office; experience with graphical user interfaces is advantageous
• At least negotiation-level proficiency in English; any additional language is advantageous
• Ability to work in an international team as well as a self-reliant, systematic, independent and self-motivated working style
