Supply Chain and Quality Operations Manager GSE & Tools (m/w/d) – AIRBUS

For more than 25 years, HESYS Engineering has connected technical specialists with demanding assignments for customers in aerospace, defence and high-tech. For our customer AIRBUS, we are looking for a suitable candidate.

As a Supply Chain and Quality Operations Manager, you will manage supply chain and quality activities for Ground Support Equipment and tools. You will ensure supplier performance, manage industrial risks and support suppliers from tendering and industrial qualification through to serial production and after-sales ramp-up.

Your tasks

• Manage the supply chain and quality aspects of contracts and assume responsibility for on-time, on-quality and, where applicable, on-cost performance
• Identify supplier industrial risks and issues, propose mitigation actions, and develop and follow up short-term recovery plans as well as medium- and long-term improvement and development plans
• Assess suppliers and work with them to ensure the after-sales ramp-up
• Assess suppliers during the tendering phase and contribute to supplier selection decisions within calls for tender
• Monitor or support New Product Introduction and Transfer of Work to ensure industrial qualification maturity before the serial production phase
• Manage supplier approval and conformity and ensure supplier compliance with AIRBUS and EASA requirements in coordination with the relevant stakeholders

Your profile

• Completed degree in engineering, industrial engineering, supply chain or logistics, or supply chain quality at a minimum of bachelor’s level
• More than three years of professional experience in each of the following areas: purchasing, supplier management, quality management, quality assurance and supply chain
• Experience in after-sales is an advantage
• Detailed specialist knowledge of SAP and knowledge of Google Workspace
• At least good knowledge of project management
• Experience in managing recovery plans is a strong advantage
• Experience with AIRBUS, the AIRBUS environment or AIRBUS suppliers is an advantage
• At least negotiation-level English; French or Spanish is a strong advantage
• Independent, structured and results-oriented approach to work combined with good analytical skills
• Strong communication, presentation and influencing skills when working with internal and external stakeholders at all management levels
• Strong persuasiveness and assertiveness to represent the relevant interests
• Willingness to undertake occasional business trips worldwide, mainly within Europe
