Als Environmental Officer verantworten Sie die Betreuung und Weiterentwicklung des Umweltmanagementsystems. Ihr Schwerpunkt liegt auf ISO 14001, umweltrechtlichen Anforderungen, Abfall- und Gewässerschutz sowie der umweltrelevanten Dokumentation und Kommunikation.

Ihre Aufgaben

• Koordination aller Aufgaben zur Betreuung und Weiterentwicklung des Umweltmanagementsystems nach ISO 14001
• Implementierung der neuen Revision ISO 14001:2015
• Prüfung der Relevanz aktueller umweltrechtlicher Regelwerke
• Unterstützung bei der Optimierung des Abfallmanagements
• Delegation von Umweltpflichten und Nachverfolgung der damit verbundenen Dokumentationspflichten
• Sicherstellung der umweltrelevanten Dokumentation sowie Pflege und Weiterentwicklung der internen Umweltkommunikation

Ihr Profil

• Abgeschlossene Berufsausbildung mit langjähriger Berufserfahrung im Ingenieurwesen, Maschinenbau, in einem technischen Bereich, in der Umwelttechnik oder Versorgungstechnik
• Kenntnisse des Kreislaufwirtschaftsgesetzes, der Nachweisverordnung und der Abfallverzeichnisverordnung
• Fachkunde als Gewässerschutzbeauftragter und Betriebsbeauftragter für Abfall sowie sicherer Umgang mit dem Wasserhaushaltsgesetz
• Erfahrung in der Überwachung von Abwasseranlagen, im Abfallmanagement und in Umweltprojekten
• Kenntnisse in ISO-Managementsystemen, insbesondere ISO 14001 oder EMAS, sind wünschenswert
• Kenntnisse in Google Workspace sowie verhandlungssichere Deutsch- und Englischkenntnisse
• Ausgezeichnete Kommunikationsfähigkeit, Teamfähigkeit sowie eine selbstständige und strukturierte Arbeitsweise mit Durchsetzungsvermögen

As an Environmental Officer, you are responsible for maintaining and developing the environmental management system. Your focus is on ISO 14001, environmental legislation, waste and water protection, environmental documentation and internal communication.

Your tasks

• Coordinate all activities relating to the maintenance and further development of the environmental management system in accordance with ISO 14001
• Implement the new ISO 14001:2015 revision
• Review the relevance of current environmental legislation and regulations
• Support the optimization of waste management
• Delegate environmental duties and track the associated documentation obligations
• Ensure environmental documentation and maintain and further develop internal environmental communication

Your profile

• Completed vocational training with extensive professional experience in engineering, mechanical engineering, a technical discipline, environmental engineering or utilities engineering
• Knowledge of the German Circular Economy Act, the Ordinance on Waste Recovery and Disposal Records and the Waste Catalogue Ordinance
• Professional qualification as a water protection officer and company waste officer, together with confident application of the German Federal Water Act
• Experience in monitoring wastewater facilities, waste management and environmental projects
• Knowledge of ISO management systems, particularly ISO 14001 or EMAS, is desirable
• Knowledge of Google Workspace and business-fluent German and English skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills, combined with an independent, structured working style and assertiveness
