Lighting Designer (m/f/d) – Cabin Customization – AIRBUS

In this role, you shape lighting concepts that define the passenger experience in customized aircraft cabins.

HESYS Engineering is a partner for highly specialized engineering and operational services and supports demanding programs for leading companies in the aerospace and defence industry.

Your tasks

As part of an international design team, you will be responsible for developing and delivering customized cabin lighting concepts for global customers.

• Plan and manage cabin lighting design projects from concept to implementation

• Translate creative lighting concepts into certifiable design solutions

• Create high-quality visual and storytelling presentations to communicate design intent

• Contribute new ideas and ways of working by benchmarking design and aviation industries

• Participate in design trend analysis and market research to identify innovation opportunities

• Provide design concepts, guidance and support throughout ongoing projects

• Interface with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders in a dynamic environment

Your profile

• Degree in design, interior design, graphic design or a comparable creative field

• Proven professional experience in interior or lighting design

• Mandatory experience in lighting design

• Creative mindset with a strong sense for aesthetics, storytelling and customer experience

• Strong communication, presentation and networking skills

• Team-oriented personality with a proactive and solution-driven attitude

• Willingness to travel occasionally (approximately once per month, mainly within Europe)

• Business-fluent English skills
