Für unseren Kunden AIRBUS suchen wir Sie als Flight Mechanics Engineer (m/w/d).

In dieser Rolle arbeiten Sie an der Entwicklung und Anwendung moderner Flugmechanik-Modelle und Simulationen. Sie übernehmen Verantwortung in Clearance-Aktivitäten, unterstützen Flugerprobungen und analysieren komplexe Simulations- und Flugdaten in enger Zusammenarbeit mit angrenzenden Fachdisziplinen.

Ihre Aufgaben

• Entwicklung neuer Flugmechanik-Modelle, Fahrzeug-Simulationen und Tools für Handling Qualities

• Verantwortung für einzelne Clearance-Bewertungen

• Vorbereitung bestehender Simulationsmodelle, Check-Cases und Eingabedaten

• Unterstützung von Flugtestkampagnen

• Analyse von Flugtestdaten

• Enge Zusammenarbeit mit Schnittstellen wie Aerodynamik, Fuel/Stores, System Design, Loads und Safety

• Pflege und Weiterentwicklung bestehender Tools

• Durchführung linearer und nicht-linearer Simulationen für Clearance-Aktivitäten

• Analyse aerodynamischer Daten

• Auswertung komplexer Simulationsergebnisse

• Dokumentation und Zusammenfassung der Simulationsergebnisse

Ihr Profil

• Abgeschlossenes Master-/Diplomstudium der Luft- und Raumfahrt

• Erfahrung im IT- und Aviation-Umfeld

• Sehr gute Kommunikationsfähigkeit sowie selbständige, motivierte Arbeitsweise

• Ausgeprägte Teamfähigkeit auch in großen, interdisziplinären Teams

• Sehr gute Englischkenntnisse in Wort und Schrift, Deutsch versiert

• Programmierkenntnisse in mindestens einer der folgenden Sprachen: MATLAB, Simulink, Java oder Python

Flight Mechanics Engineer (f/m/d) – Simulation & Clearance – AIRBUS

For our customer AIRBUS, we are looking for a Flight Mechanics Engineer (f/m/d).

In this role, you will develop and apply advanced flight mechanics models and simulations. You will take responsibility for clearance activities, support flight test campaigns and analyze complex simulation and flight test data in close collaboration with interface disciplines.

Your tasks

• Develop new flight mechanics models, vehicle simulations and tools for handling qualities

• Take responsibility for individual clearance assessment tasks

• Prepare existing simulation models, check cases and input data

• Support flight test campaigns

• Analyze flight test data

• Closely interact with interface disciplines such as aerodynamics, fuel/stores, system design, loads and safety

• Maintain and update existing tools

• Perform linear and non-linear simulations required for clearance activities

• Analyze aerodynamic data

• Analyze complex simulation results

• Document and summarize simulation results

Your profile

• Master’s/Diploma degree in Aerospace Engineering

• Experience in an IT and aviation environment

• Very good communication skills and an independent, self-motivated working style

• Strong team player, comfortable working in large, interdisciplinary teams

• Fluent business English, German is an advantage

• Programming skills in at least one of the following: MATLAB, Simulink, Java or Python
