System Engineer Flight Management Systems (m/w/d) – AIRBUS

HESYS Engineering has been a specialized partner for engineering services for more than 25 years. We support customers in aerospace & high-tech with qualified specialists for demanding projects. For our customer AIRBUS, we are looking for a suitable candidate.

In this role, you support the design and development of Flight Management Systems and Flight Guidance functions for manned aircraft and RPAS applications. The focus is on FMS functions, trajectory generation and implementation in simulation environments.

Your tasks

• Design and develop Flight Management System functions for military and civil aircraft applications
• Develop Flight Guidance functions including trajectory generation
• Implement system functions in simulation environments
• Support FMS-related development for manned aircraft and RPAS platforms
• Work on automatic and autonomous operation concepts for unmanned aircraft systems
• Collaborate with international engineering teams in an aerospace systems environment

Your profile

• Completed degree in aerospace engineering or a comparable qualification
• Professional experience in aerospace systems, IT or information systems
• Solid experience with UAV or RPAS technologies
• Experience with Python or C++ is mandatory
• Experience with IsaacSim and ROS2 is an advantage
• Business-fluent English; German knowledge is nice to have
