Systems & Tooling Engineer Avionics Software Platform (m/w/d) – AIRBUS

For more than 25 years, HESYS Engineering has connected technical specialists with demanding assignments for customers in aerospace, defence and high-tech. For our customer AIRBUS, we are looking for a suitable candidate.

In this role, you will manage and further develop a software development platform for avionics engineering throughout its entire lifecycle. The focus is on infrastructure automation, development systems, tool and licence management, process optimization and the integration of modern engineering technologies.

Your tasks

• Manage, operate and continuously develop the avionics software development platform according to a plan-build-operate approach
• Automate configuration, packaging and installation of development environments using scripting, Infrastructure as Code and modern deployment tools
• Design, implement and administer server infrastructures, development systems, networks and licence servers to ensure reliable tool availability
• Build and maintain a central tool and licence database covering software assets, users, costs, contracts and procurement requirements
• Analyse complex technical issues, improve software-design and requirements processes and implement structured problem reporting with JIRA
• Coordinate external service providers and support the integration of AI-enabled engineering tools into software development processes

Your profile

• Master’s degree or diploma in computer science, software engineering or a comparable technical discipline
• Sound understanding of modern software development methods, systems-engineering processes and AI integration in engineering environments
• Practical experience in Infrastructure as Code, scripting, automated deployment and software packaging
• Experience in operating and configuring development systems, server infrastructures, networks and licence-management environments
• Strong SQL skills for modelling and managing complex relational data structures, combined with advanced JIRA and MS Office knowledge
• Business-fluent English, structured problem-solving skills and the ability to coordinate interfaces between IT, engineering and external partners; German skills are beneficial
