A400M Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul Engineer (m/w/d) – AIRBUS

We are looking for an MRO Engineer to provide technical support and expertise for the maintenance, repair and overhaul of the A400M aircraft. The focus is on ensuring continued airworthiness and operational readiness through technical analysis, troubleshooting and compliant maintenance solutions.

Your tasks

• Develop, review and approve maintenance procedures, work instructions and technical documentation related to A400M MRO activities
• Provide technical support to MRO facilities and operators in troubleshooting complex aircraft-system malfunctions and structural issues
• Analyze aircraft defect reports, maintenance data and operational feedback to identify trends and propose corrective actions or design improvements
• Participate in investigations of significant technical incidents or accidents and contribute to root-cause analyses and the development of preventive measures
• Liaise with design authorities, suppliers and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with airworthiness requirements and technical specifications
• Evaluate and implement modifications, service bulletins and airworthiness directives relevant to the A400M fleet
• Support the planning and execution of scheduled and unscheduled maintenance events, including major checks and overhauls
• Contribute to the development and improvement of MRO processes, tools and best practices
• Provide training and technical guidance to MRO personnel regarding A400M systems and maintenance techniques

Your profile

• Completed Master’s degree or Diplom in aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering or a related technical field
• Proven professional experience, typically at least three years, in MRO, airworthiness or design-support roles within the aerospace industry is mandatory
• Experience with military transport aircraft is preferred
• In-depth knowledge of aircraft systems, structures and propulsion
• Specific experience with the A400M aircraft is highly advantageous
• Strong understanding of EASA, LBA or equivalent military airworthiness regulations and the DEMAR 145 maintenance philosophy is required
• Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings, manuals and repair instructions is required
• English at least at negotiation level; good German language skills are desirable
• Superior analytical and troubleshooting skills
• Reliability and commitment when working within an international team
• Customer-oriented mindset
