Senior Quality Engineer Software Testing (m/w/d) – AIRBUS

For more than 25 years, HESYS Engineering has connected technical specialists with demanding assignments for customers in aerospace, defence and high-tech. For our customer AIRBUS, we are looking for a suitable candidate.

As a Senior Quality Engineer in digital manufacturing, you work on Line Balancing solutions and ensure software quality and performance through testing. You develop test strategies, investigate technical root causes and guide developers in quality best practices.

Your tasks

• Understand business processes and technical architecture
• Contribute to the development of Line Balancing solutions
• Develop, design and maintain an E2E test strategy for a complex software solution to ensure delivery in accordance with requirements, quality and performance expectations
• Perform in-depth technical root cause analysis and improve performance
• Write high-quality unit tests and E2E tests following best practices
• Monitor quality and performance metrics, for example MTTR (Mean Time to Resolve) and web application performance
• Train, guide and challenge developers on implementing quality best practices

Your profile

• Degree in computer science, business informatics or data science, in each case at least at Bachelor’s level
• More than four years of professional experience in IT/information systems and more than four years in process improvement
• At least three years of experience writing unit tests, component tests, API tests and E2E tests using Cypress, Playwright, Bruno and Vitest
• Good knowledge of TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML and SCSS/CSS
• Very good knowledge of BDD (Behaviour Driven Design) and frameworks such as Cucumber
• Good knowledge of CI/CD (continuous integration/continuous development) integration to achieve continuous testing; Jenkins is preferred
• Good knowledge of container-based applications using Docker
• Good knowledge of logging tools such as Splunk, Kibana/OpenSearch (preferred) or similar tools
• Good knowledge of AI tools
• English at negotiation level; French or German is a plus
• Very good communication and organizational skills, analytical thinking and confidence working with numbers
• An independent, proactive approach, social skills and the ability to work in a team
