Ground Control Station System Engineer (m/w/d) – AIRBUS

For more than 25 years, HESYS Engineering has connected technical specialists with demanding assignments for customers in aerospace, defence and high-tech. For our customer AIRBUS, we are looking for a suitable candidate.

We are looking for a Ground Control Station System Engineer responsible for subsystem requirements, supplier coordination and the harmonization of Ground Control Station requirements and designs. The role includes close cooperation with engineering disciplines, partner companies and customers.

Your tasks

• Define subsystem requirements and monitor their implementation
• Manage suppliers and ensure that the proposed solutions comply with the requirements
• Contribute to activities performed by transversal organizations, e.g. safety, certification and RAMT
• Contribute to the overall equipment list
• Harmonize requirements and designs with other segment and functional-chain architects, engineering disciplines and partner companies, including the consolidation of physical budgets, design criteria and overall GCS performance
• Support the programme line with technical assessments where required
• Support IV activities
• Maintain contact with customers to refine operational expectations and requirements

Your profile

• Completed Master’s degree or Diplom in electrical engineering, aerospace engineering or computer science
• More than three years of professional experience in engineering
• More than three years of professional experience in IT or information systems
• More than three years of professional experience in aerospace
• More than three years of professional experience in project management
• Knowledge of systems engineering standards and aviation system and software development, e.g. ARP4754A and INCOSE, is required
• Experience with DOORS and Cameo is mandatory
• Experience with Simulink is required
• Experience with SCADE and/or ICDMS is an advantage
• English at least at negotiation level
• Knowledge of German is an advantage
• Ability to express and document complex issues in an understandable manner
• Understanding of working processes in a military environment
• Ability to work in an international and multidisciplinary team
