Airframe Automation Specialist (m/w/d) – AIRBUS

For more than 25 years, HESYS Engineering has connected technical specialists with demanding assignments for customers in aerospace, defence and high-tech. For our customer AIRBUS, we are looking for a suitable candidate.

As an Airframe Automation Specialist, you support the development of activities, methods, processes and tools for automation solutions that enable efficient, automated design within Airbus Airframe Engineering. You contribute to transforming the development and integration of the physical aircraft through methods, processes and software solutions, with the aim of continuously proposing improvements through automation.

Your tasks

• Support ongoing strategies for new technological automation building blocks
• Connect architectures and ensure the appropriate level of interdependence between the development of automation functions and architectural parameters
• Define new processes and methods that maximise the benefits of new technological automation building blocks, particularly rules governing automation-supported and parametric design in connection with the aircraft architecture

Your profile

• Completed degree in engineering or another technical discipline, in either case at least at bachelor’s level
• More than two years of professional experience in each of Configuration Management, engineering, aircraft construction and design; design experience in system installation and structural design
• In-depth practical application knowledge of CATIA V5 and VPM
• Basic knowledge of coding and scripting (VBA, Python, CAA) is desirable
• Good knowledge of project management and process management in the Airframe Engineering Process (Physical Design); knowledge of agile methodology is desirable
• Very good communication and presentation skills, strong ability to collaborate with contacts at all levels and a customer-oriented approach
• Agility and autonomy in a transnational environment, ability to work as a team in a highly collaborative environment and ability to coordinate the efforts of a large team of different specialists and experts
• Leadership ability in an environment of continuous change involving multiple internal processes
• German at least at a basic level and English at least at negotiation level
