Industrial Manufacturing Engineer (m/f/d) – Composite Technologies & Future Programs – AIRBUS

For our customer AIRBUS, we are looking for a suitable candidate.

In this role, you will work as an Industrial Manufacturing Engineer for composite technologies, supporting future aircraft programs with a strong focus on composite fuselage solutions for next-generation single-aisle aircraft. You will contribute to the development, maturation and industrialization of advanced composite manufacturing technologies up to full-scale industrial maturity.

Your responsibilities

• Definition and execution of technology roadmaps to achieve maturity gates demonstrating industrial performance and readiness for pre-industrialization

• Development, evaluation and industrial trade-off of new composite solutions for high-rate fuselage manufacturing

• Contribution to the protection of Airbus intellectual property (IP)

• Support of composite technology development activities, including automation and inspection technologies

• Collaboration with manufacturing, design, stress, quality and simulation engineers to develop end-to-end industrial solutions

• Support and coordination of cooperation with partners such as technology centers, research institutions and suppliers

• Contribution to risk identification, assessment and mitigation within development projects

• Preparation of technical reports and presentations demonstrating technology maturity and industrial readiness

Your profile

• Master’s degree or equivalent (Diploma) in engineering or a comparable technical field

• Several years of professional experience in one or more of the following areas:

  • Research and development

  • Manufacturing engineering

  • Materials testing

  • Composite materials

• Solid understanding of composite manufacturing quality requirements, including manufacturing specifications, processes and standards

• Basic project management knowledge

• Experience with thermoplastic composites in manufacturing is an advantage

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Creative and open mindset with a willingness to explore, learn and develop new solutions

• Ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary and transnational environments

• Team-oriented working style

• Willingness to travel occasionally is an advantage

• Fluent English is required; German language skills are an advantage

• Confident use of Google Workspace
