Supportability Engineer Governmental Programs (m/w/d) – AIRBUS

As a Supportability Engineer for Governmental Programs, you will contribute to the development and continuous improvement of maintenance concepts, logistics support analyses and technical documentation. You will ensure that supportability requirements, certification objectives and customer expectations are consistently reflected throughout the development and support process.

Your tasks

• Collaborate with support engineers and the Design Office during the development phase to understand planned designs or updates and positively influence their impact on Supportability & Services performance.
• Provide maintenance requirements using return of experience and technical expertise and align designs with customer expectations.
• Conduct Logistics Support Analysis activities, particularly Level of Repair Analysis (LORA) and Maintenance Task Analysis (MTA).
• Define technical criteria for maintenance tasks and propose optimized procedural guidelines.
• Define and propose an optimized spare parts list based on technical, economic and operational experience.
• Define and provide an interface between LSA and catalogue definition (IPC) to ensure a streamlined process for ICA delivery and governmental contracts.
• Define cost-efficient maintenance programs in compliance with regulations to ensure type certification.
• Regularly revise the maintenance program using return of experience from flight operations and contribute to reducing direct maintenance costs.
• Ensure that all required information is distributed correctly and aligned with the relevant ILS stakeholders.
• Ensure end-to-end traceability from the source document to ICA delivery to meet certification objectives and requirements.
• Ensure the quality of published technical documentation to maximize customer satisfaction and maintain consistency with the deliverables of other support disciplines.
• Contribute to the development and transformation of the LSA role by implementing new methods, e.g. S3000L, digitalization programs such as DDMS and 3D applications.
• Analyze and respond to requests from internal and external customers.
• Update repositories and operational guidelines.

Your profile

• University degree in a technical field related to maintainability.
• More than three years of professional experience in each of the following areas: development, customer service, aerospace, technical documentation, and maintenance or servicing.
• A military background is an advantage.
• Experience in Logistics Support Analysis and applying related standards, including MIL-STD-1388-2B / S3000L, as well as analyses such as LORA, MTI and MTA.
• Knowledge of further standards, including ASD S1000D and S2000M, and of aircraft maintenance manuals.
• General knowledge of helicopters and their systems.
• English language skills at a minimum of business-fluent level. French and German language skills are an advantage.
• Team spirit and customer orientation.
• Careful, accurate and proactive working style.
• Ability to independently familiarize yourself with new and complex topics.
• Ability to operate in a dynamic or unclear environment and drive clarification processes and consensus-building.
• Strong communication skills within and outside the team.
