As a 3D Harness Designer, you support the development and implementation of EWIS design principles and physical installation concepts in an agile and international project environment. The focus is on high-voltage EWIS installation, interface coordination, requirements verification and supplier collaboration.
Your tasks
Adapt existing design rules, e.g. AIPI/AIPS from previous aircraft, helicopter or international standards, to develop new design principles for high-voltage EWIS installation
Support the EWIS installation team in defining physical interface allocation and review IDD/IP interface documentation provided by system designers
Support equipment system design representatives in reviewing internal physical EWIS and ESN/MBN installation as well as first article inspection of CiA equipment
Prepare reports including findings, non-compliance with requirements and follow-up of associated actions
Validate and verify EWIS requirements within DOORS, including cascaded requirements to work packages, and review corresponding EWIS requirements
Conduct weekly meetings with different suppliers including reporting, progress tracking and identification of risks and opportunities
Your profile
At least a Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or engineering, or completed vocational training with further qualification as a technician and relevant professional experience
More than two years of professional experience as a Design Engineer and more than two years in Engineering
Detailed functional knowledge of CATIA V5
At least business-fluent English
German, French and/or Spanish are beneficial
Structured working style, high level of responsibility, ability to work independently in dynamic environments and strong international competence; willingness to travel for business for 2–3 days per month is required
