Financial Analyst / Cost Engineer (m/w/d) – AIRBUS

For more than 25 years, HESYS Engineering has connected technical specialists with demanding assignments for customers in aerospace, defence and high-tech. For our customer AIRBUS, we are looking for a suitable candidate.

In this role, you manage finance controlling, consolidation and costing activities for new programmes. You develop cost models, support planning and forecasting processes and provide transparent financial information for management decisions in an international programme environment.

Your tasks

• Consolidate and prepare operational planning, EAC, forecasts, year-end estimates and operating budgets
• Develop target costs for products, development activities and services and assess supplier quotations for fair value
• Define costing methodologies, identify cost drivers and evaluate risks and opportunities
• Coordinate industrial work-package contributions from production, manufacturing engineering, quality and procurement
• Harmonise and continuously improve cost models, reporting methods, data analyses and finance tools
• Support supplier negotiations, programme decisions, audits, investment planning and recovery measures

Your profile

• Completed Master’s degree or diploma in electrical engineering, engineering, mechanical engineering or industrial engineering
• More than five years of professional experience in controlling, finance and project management
• Detailed specialist knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office
• Practical knowledge of SAP S/4HANA is required
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience in cost engineering, forecasting and financial consolidation
• Business-fluent English with confident stakeholder communication; German or Spanish language skills are advantageous
