Für unseren Kunden HENSOLDT am Standort Wetzlar suchen wir Sie als Systemingenieur Mechatronik (m/w/d).

Der mechatronische Entwicklungsbereich entwickelt aus optischen und elektronischen Komponenten komplexe optronische Beobachtungssysteme, die auch unter anspruchsvollen Umweltbedingungen zuverlässig funktionieren. In interdisziplinären Teams entstehen stabilisierte multispektrale Aufklärungssysteme für Land- und Seefahrzeuge sowie weitere sicherheitskritische Anwendungen. Sie verantworten die Systemarchitektur, das Requirements Engineering und die technische Koordination über den gesamten Produktlebenszyklus.

Ihre Aufgaben

• Erstellung der Systemarchitektur komplexer optronischer und mechatronischer Produkte.

• Standortübergreifende Betreuung des Gesamtsystems sowie Systemaufbruch für Elektronik-, Mechanik-, Optik- und Softwareanteile.

• Standardisierung von Systemspezifikationen und Arbeitsweisen im System-Engineering-Tool DOORS.

• Technische Koordination der Produktentwicklung in interdisziplinären Projektteams.

• Requirement Management zur Definition des Entwicklungsumfangs.

• Definition und Betreuung qualifizierender Tests sowie Festlegung von Prüfanforderungen.

• Review von Entwicklungsergebnissen, Unterstützung bei systematischer Fehlersuche und Vorbereitung der Quality-Gates.

• Abstimmung und Betreuung interner sowie externer Entwicklungsarbeiten und Kooperationspartner.

• Erstellung von Mengengerüsten, Mitarbeit bei Angeboten sowie Bewertung/Optimierung von Angeboten hinsichtlich Leistung und Kosten.

• Abstimmung mit internen und externen Partnern/Kunden auf nationaler und internationaler Ebene.

• Aufbau von Prototypen und Mitwirkung bei Engineering- und Qualifikationstests.

• Begleitung des Fertigungsanlaufs, Betreuung der Serie sowie Weiterentwicklung und Vereinheitlichung von Prozessen im Engineering-/Mechatronik-Bereich (DOORS, ECM, Produktentstehungsprozess).

Ihr Profil

• Abgeschlossenes Studium in Physik, Mechatronik, Maschinenbau, Luft- und Raumfahrt oder vergleichbarer Fachrichtung (mind. Bachelor).

• Mehrjährige Erfahrung in der Entwicklung komplexer technischer Geräte, idealerweise im militärischen Umfeld.

• Mehrjährige Praxis in Systems Engineering und Requirement Management.

• Sehr gute Kenntnisse einschlägiger Tools wie DOORS und Enterprise Architect (oder vergleichbare).

• Sicherer Umgang mit Qualitätsmethoden/Tools zur Fehleranalyse und nachhaltigen Fehlerbeseitigung (z. B. 8D, A3, Six Sigma).

• Vorteilhaft: Kenntnisse in Entwicklungstools wie Creo, Pulsonix etc.

• Gute SAP-Kenntnisse im Dokumenten-, Material- und Stücklistenmanagement.

• Erfahrung im Umgang mit nationalen/internationalen Kunden und Entwicklungspartnern sowie Kooperationspartnern.

• Gutes Verständnis von Fertigungs- und Montageverfahren.

• Erfahrung mit V-Modell, agilen Methoden und PLM-/Quality-Gate-gesteuerten Produktentstehungsprozessen.

• Selbständige, strukturierte Arbeitsweise, Teamfähigkeit sowie hohe Lernbereitschaft.

• Belastbarkeit, Flexibilität und ausgeprägtes Leistungs-/Qualitätsbewusstsein.

• Deutsch verhandlungssicher, Englisch fortgeschritten.

Mechatronics Systems Engineer (m/f/d) – Optronic Systems / Systems Engineering – HENSOLDT

For our customer HENSOLDT in Wetzlar, we are looking for a Mechatronics Systems Engineer (m/f/d).

The mechatronics development domain covers mechanical/electromechanical design, optical design, structural analysis and systems engineering. Based on optical and electronic components, advanced optronic observation systems are developed that reliably meet performance requirements even under harsh environmental conditions. In interdisciplinary cooperation, stabilized multi-spectral reconnaissance systems are created for land and sea platforms. You will own the system architecture, requirements engineering and technical coordination throughout the product lifecycle.

Your tasks

• Define the system architecture for complex optronic and mechatronic products.

• Take end-to-end responsibility for the overall system across sites.

• Break down the system into electronics, mechanics, optics and software contributions.

• Standardize system specifications and ways of working within the systems-engineering tool DOORS.

• Coordinate product development technically within interdisciplinary project teams.

• Perform requirements management to define development scope.

• Define and oversee qualification-relevant tests and verification requirements.

• Review development results, support systematic root-cause analysis and prepare quality gates.

• Align and supervise internal and external development work and cooperation partners.

• Create costed bills of material/structure plans, contribute to proposals and optimize offers for performance and cost.

• Coordinate with internal and external partners/customers on national and international level.

• Define test requirements, set up prototypes and support engineering/qualification testing.

• Support ramp-up to production, series follow-up and continuous improvement/standardization of engineering processes (DOORS, ECM, product development process).

Your profile

• Bachelor’s degree in physics, mechatronics, mechanical/aerospace engineering or comparable.

• Several years of experience developing complex technical devices, ideally in a defense/military context.

• Strong background in systems engineering and requirements management.

• Proficient with tools such as DOORS and Enterprise Architect (or similar).

• Confident use of quality methods for sustainable problem solving (e.g., 8D, A3, Six Sigma).

• Advantageous: experience with development tools such as Creo, Pulsonix, etc.

• Good SAP skills for document, material and BoM management.

• Experience working with national/international customers, development partners and cooperation partners.

• Sound understanding of manufacturing and assembly processes.

• Experience with V-model, agile methods and PLM/quality-gate driven product development.

• Independent, structured working style, strong team mindset and high willingness to learn.
