Software Development & Integration Engineer A400M (m/w/d) – AIRBUS

For more than 25 years, HESYS Engineering has connected technical specialists with demanding assignments for customers in aerospace, defence and high-tech. For our customer AIRBUS, we are looking for a suitable candidate.

In this position, you will support software development and integration activities for military avionics systems of the A400M. The development environment also covers software solutions for legacy platforms such as Eurofighter and Tornado and contributes to the definition of future platforms such as FCAS.

Your tasks

• Define and execute complex test scenarios and formal acceptance tests for the validation and verification of embedded software
• Define and support software development and software testing in collaboration with the associated laboratory environment
• Support development and certification activities for embedded software of A400M mission and military systems, including test evidence and its documentation
• Support workload estimations for future software developments, including concepts, specifications and work packages
• Support planning activities and participate in the preparation of relevant Stages of Involvement and quality gates

Your profile

• Master’s or Diplom degree in computer science, aerospace engineering or an equivalent field of study
• Solid experience in software testing, including, for example, HIL, SIL, requirements validation and real-time testing on target, and/or software development is mandatory
• Experience with Real-Time Operating Systems and avionics software certification processes, e.g. DO-178B/C, is preferred
• C and C++ programming skills are required; additional knowledge, such as Python and UML, is a plus
• Experience with aerospace technologies, such as MILBUS 1553, ARINC 661 or AFDX, and with Real-Time Operating Systems such as Green Hills INTEGRITY is a plus
• Awareness of agile methods and tools is recommended
• Negotiation-level English skills are required; German language skills are nice to have
• You are a team player with a reliable and precise working style
