Software Engineer Electronic Warfare Ground Support Systems (m/w/d) – AIRBUS

For more than 25 years, HESYS Engineering has connected technical specialists with demanding assignments for customers in aerospace, defence and high-tech. For our customer AIRBUS, we are looking for a suitable candidate.

As a Software Engineer, you develop and maintain Electronic Warfare Ground Support Systems for the Tornado, A400M and Eurofighter platforms. These systems enable Electronic Warfare mission data preparation, provide interfaces to the flying platforms and support mission or flight evaluation.

Your tasks

• Analyse use cases and needs in close cooperation with the various stakeholders of the system engineering team.
• Define and implement software architectures, evaluate different architectural solutions and select the best solution.
• Understand user workflows and define and implement software solutions using web and cloud technologies to support and enhance the different steps of mission data production.
• Prepare and execute software tests to satisfy the different levels of verification and validation.
• Integrate activities into the Software Development Lifecycle.
• Develop software according to the Software Development Plan and accompanying standards.

Your profile

• Master’s degree or Diplom in Computer Science or Engineering, or an equivalent qualification at the same level.
• More than two years of professional experience in IT / information systems.
• Solid experience with Angular, TypeScript and HTML is required.
• Motivation for agile software development processes and methods is mandatory.
• Negotiation-level English is required; good knowledge of German is desirable.
• Very good communication skills, a proactive mindset and a strong team mentality, with the ability to work independently and with self-motivation.
