For a project assignment with our well-known international customer in the high-tech sector in Donauwörth, we are looking for you as a Design Engineer for Mechanical System Installations.
The "Installation Mechanical Equipment and Fuel System" department is part of the Airbus Helicopters development department. The team is responsible for the development of components and assemblies for the installation of external mission equipment (outboard equipment) and for the installation of the fuel system.
It serves the entire Airbus Helicopters product range, including civil and military helicopters, as well as research demonstrators, throughout the helicopter lifecycle (development, prototype and series production, fleet support and retrofit).
Mission equipment is installed for a wide range of applications, including passenger transport, air rescue, public services (e.g. police), VIP transport and military missions. The department has a transnational setup, with staff:ing at Airbus Helicopters' Marignane and Donauwörth sites.
Team members work in modern agile project teams together with colleagues from various departments, including airframe development, mission systems, electrical systems, and strength calculation. The teams also collaborate with several subcontractors and global Airbus Helicopters subsidiaries.
Development of Outboard Equipment installations on civil helicopters (H135 / H145 / new development projects).
You will act as Design Engineer for Mechanical System Installations and will be responsible for the following tasks:
Development of mechanical installations for outboard equipment:
- Concept studies
- 3D design in CATIA
- Creation and modification of construction documents
- Data management of design data in software like SAP, Windchill, VPM
Preparation of documents for approval, e.g. system description, FMECA, definition of maintenance measures, test program.
- Degree in mechanical engineering or aerospace or comparable
- Professional experience in development
- Experience with the development of mechanical components, preferably with the software CATIA V5, ENOVIA VPM
- Experience with development processes from the aerospace industry and corresponding software tools, e.g. SAP, Windchill
- Language skills: English business fluent
